The Sustainability Project

Why?

The James Bennett Sustainability Project (TSP) is a green initiative created to assist libraries in disposing of all weeded material. Around 30 million print books are held in Australian Libraries, and if libraries are weeding at the recommended rate, this equates to 4.5 million books (or 1,800 TONNES) going to landfill each year.

Benefits

The Sustainability Project will help your library meet sustainability goals, place less books in landfill, help to redistribute and donate used titles, reduce costs, reclaim staff time, but most of all, receive greater transparency as to where your sustainable endeavours are going.
